Neil Pontin

Neil unblocks, accelerates and reduces the risks in transformation and change programmes. He understands what the organisation or programme is trying to achieve in business outcomes, describes the component parts and how they fit together in terms that are easily understood and can be agreed between Business and IT.

He then uses these operating models to structure transformation programmes, design business processes and align them to data, IT design and the organisation. He makes this structure the heart of any transformation or change programme and a long-term legacy for continuous improvement, audit and control.

Neil occasionally works alone as the only Business Architect, but more usually leads a team of Business Architects working with Technical Architects, the business and the programme.

Neil has worked for UPS, Ernst & Young and Capgemini Consulting and has worked independently since 2008.  He understands customers, service propositions, and operations; articulating visions and solutions, designing, initiating and implementing change programmes; process improvement, behavioural change, system design and implementation.

Neil applies knowledge from a broad experience of private, public and 3rd sectors: business services, utilities, transport, logistics and distribution, oil and gas, media and publishing, insurance and financial services, charity, central and local government.
